Introduction

A genus (originally placed as a sterrhine geometrid!) comprising a single, rare species occurring in lowland forests of the Guiana shield and lower Amazon basin. Larval stages are unknown (Miller, 2009).

Characteristics

Miller (2009) states that the Cacolyces plagifera is unmistakable, based on its wing pattern. Wing venation is also distinctive, and the labial palpi are long and wide.
